Small Accomplishments. Big Goals.

No work is small. No human is stupid. You have big goals which are waiting for you. But they are too big and they scare you all the time. You do have big visions which can change millions of lives but you are scared because you are stuck. Your environment is holding you back from doing something great that no one has ever thought of. But, don’t worry. People are there to help you. Like Admiral William McRaven said,

If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed.

Trust me, after watching the video, I started making my bed. I don’t know the reason but I do. And it really gives a small sense of accomplishment. Doing small things and accomplishing small goals give you an extra energy to make the giant dream happen. It’s something like a domino effect. One small goal, one small accomplishment. Another small goal, another small accomplishment and so on. At the end of the day, you have a list full of small accomplishments. No matter how many times you failed or rejected, when you accomplish small goals, it will automatically boost your self-esteem.

No one can reach the top of the mountain in one step. It’s the process of many many steps you take to reach the top. And trust me, the view is worth watching from the top.

So, start small. Fail often. And achieve big.

  1. Whilst it’s very helpful to be motivated to do the small things sometimes there’s a leap ‘of faith’ you could say. Be fearless when taking that leap. And always track your big goals. Stay motivated. Great article guys.
